Enable Multiple Remote Desktop Sessions on Windows Using RDPWrap (Free Tool)

Step-by-Step Guide to Download RDPWrap from GitHub

Step 1: Open GitHub Repository

Go to your browser and open the following GitHub link: https://github.com/SobieskiCodes/RDPWrap

Click on the Green "Code" Button

Once you're on the repository page, locate the green "Code" button on the right side and click it.

Select "Download ZIP"

From the dropdown menu, click on "Download ZIP" to download the full repository in compressed ZIP format.

Step 2: Turn Off Virus & Threat Protection Before Installing RDPWrap

Open Windows Security

Click on the Start menu and search for “Windows Security”, then open it.

Go to “Virus & Threat Protection”

Step 3: Turn Off Virus & Threat Protection

Click on the “Manage settings” link as shown in the image.

Step 4: Turn Off Real-Time Protection and Dev Drive Protection

After clicking Manage Settings, you'll reach the Virus & threat protection settings screen.

Real-time protection → Off

Dev Drive protection → Off

Cloud-delivered protection → Off

Step 5: Extract the Downloaded RDPWrap ZIP File

Go to the Downloads folder

You’ll find a file named something like RDPWrap-master.zip.

Right-click on the ZIP file

Select “Extract All...”

Click “Extract” to unzip the contents.

 Step 6: Open the Extracted Folder

Double-click on the RDPWrap-master folder to open it.

Step 7: Run the Installer as Administrator

Right-click on RDPW_Installer.exe and select “Run as administrator”

Step 8: Allow the Installer

When prompted, click “Yes” to allow the app to make changes to your device.

Step 9: Installation Starts in Command Prompt

The RDPWrap installer runs in a black CMD window. Wait for it to complete setup and show "Terminating service..." at the end.

 Step 10: Check Installation Status

The RDPWrap status window will open. Make sure it shows:

Wrapper state: Installed

Service state: Running

Listener state: Listening

[fully supported] in green text

This confirms RDPWrap is working successfully!

Step 11: Verify Multiple Users Logged In

Open Task Manager → Users tab and confirm that two or more users (e.g., ram and sudip) are connected simultaneously via Remote Desktop.

This means RDPWrap is working perfectly!
